I first visited Japan in January of 2007 and stayed with a friend in Shiga prefecture.
２００７年の１月に初めて日本に来た。　滋賀県の友人のアパートに滞在していました。

It was a freezing morning with snow falling as I left the apartment for the JR station all bundled up in my business attire for a job interview.

 雪が降る厳しく寒い朝、面接のためにJR駅迄歩きながら、背広の中に体をすっぽりと包み込みました

As I stood on the train platform, I was shocked to see a group of high school girls wearing short skirts.
 駅のプラットホームで、女子高校生のグループが短いスカートを着用しているのを見た。僕はショックであった。

Some of the girls were wearing high-heeled boots as well.

 一部の女子高校生は、踵の高いブーツを履いていた。

How could they walk in snow in those high heels?
どのようにそれらの踵の高いブーツで、雪の上を歩くのだろうか？

I thought, "What the...!!! Japanese girls must be insane!"
えぇぇぇっ。。。日本の女子高校生は狂気だと思った！

Maybe high school boys in Japan think blue legs are sexy.
たぶん日本の男子高校生は女子高校生の青い足（寒いから）が好きだと思う。
