“1969” Now a Worldwide Hit 「1969」が世界中で大ヒット

The album “1969,” a collaboration between Saori Yuki and American Jazz Orchestra Pink Martini, was released in over 20 countries around the world and has become a big hit. 

由紀さおりとアメリカのジャズオーケストラ「ピンク・マルティーニ」が共演したアルバム「1969」が世界20ヵ国以上で発売され、大

ヒットしている。

When it was released for sale on iTunes in the US on November 1, the next day it shot to the number one spot in the Jazz charts. 

アメリカでは11月1日にiTunes での配信がスタートし、翌日ジャズ・チャートで1位に。

 

It’s also reached the number one spot on the Canadian iTunes World Music Chart, and as a result, is causing quite a stir.

カナダのiTunes ワールドミュージックチャートでも1位になるなど、話題になっている。

Saori Yuki is a Japanese singer.

She is also known for her work as a voice over artist and actress.

The album “1969” is a collection of songs that were a hit in 1969, the year Yuki debuted with “Yoake no Scat” (Melody for a New Dawn).

Twelve songs from around the world, such as “Blue Light Yokohama,” from Japan, and “Mas Que Nada,” from Brazil, are packed into the album. 

日本で大ヒットした「ブルー・ライト・ヨコハマ」や、ブラジルの「マシュケナダ」など12 曲が収録されている。

Except for “Du Soleil Plein Les Yeux” (Eyes Full of Sun), which is in French, all songs are sung in Japanese.

フランス語で歌う「さらば夏の日」以外はすべて日本語。
